Groups that were not affected last year will be impacted. Buckle up!
Cisco is heading the wrong direction in IoT from day one. There is no money for Cisco to grab. The CX is more like a joke, another failure like the Cisco cloud a few years back. The SP & Enterprise market is changing since COVID-19 but Cisco doesn't change fast enough. Cisco still dreams about selling chips. It is a very challenging business because almost every company Cisco bought this day, it doesn't go any where. Layoff is the only choice like HP has been doing. Transition to software is not easy because Cisco is not Adobe, not Microsoft, not even like AutoDesk. No niche in their software, other than the existing customer base on legacy products like switch, router, webex, security, wireless, etc.
SP going for major cuts in BE, sales, CX. Business is just not there to sustain and justify the opex.
What will the sales reorg entail?
IOT Sales teams will be eliminated in the sales reorg
Speculation is overlay sales roles (AMs and specialists) are next, due to the sales reorg. In a way, that could make sense- offering 6 months for ER and technical roles in 2021, and moving on to 3 month packages for less tenured roles. All rumor, though.
No need for a Cisco LR this year, everybody disregarded the CDC for Thanksgiving , Christmas and New Years. Rona is going to be doing the the ultimate LR in the upcoming quarter.
Wait for the yearly bloodbath in Aug-Sept. we all look forward to the yearly Cisco culture event.
I think the last one took too long for them to get in another one. Maybe.
No answers means no LR for a while.
