That was a nice office for us but writing was on the wall as it was so empty. I do not think that RWS is going away anytime soon.

"The clock tower of the Santa Clara campus is supposedly haunted. "

I think the clock tower is open to the public

The clock tower of the Santa Clara campus is supposedly haunted. Facilities staff had talked about paranormal activities and attacks by shadows late in the evening.

I heard this way back in my Sun days. I never set foot on the place myself.

The clock tower of the Santa Clara campus is supposedly haunted.

That is possibly one of the few things you'll read here that could be true.

Maybe execs could get a small revenue stream by inviting ghost chasers to film there.

You mean because it used the be a mental hospital?!?

I think he meant Redwood Shores. As for Santa Clara, only a small portion of it is the old sanitarium. And while it was a sanitarium, the old part is a state landmark, I believe.

Then Santa Clara will be shut down

Santa Clara is a showcase campus. I would expect O to close down other bay area offices and continue to consolidate in Santa Clara.

Then Santa Clara will be shut down, some employees will get RIFed and the rest will move to somewhere else... finally one or 2 will end up in Austin. Instead of musical chairs it’s musical buildings.

Oracle is so desperate that it started to sell buildings in current market ....

Given that the Santa Clare campus has acres of unoccupied office space, it make perfect sense.

Selling the tower in the current economy will be challenging, though if priced right it will sell.

A lot of us never liked that place. They had offered space there to my division and I can’t recall anyone thinking the move was a good idea.
