You got rid of the audit team and you’re wondering why shrink is so high?? Lol play dumb games and you win stupid prizes. Gets rid of night crew and wonders why the stores look like c-ap all the time. lol! Please give me a corporate six figure job so I can come with these amazing ideas!!!
No checks and balances anymore. Audit team long gone and no one is identifying or correcting shrink issues. When something goes into the negative they just CO it in and don’t do any research. If they are missing pallets of something they try to get back room associates to email the dc and ask if they can key it short. No research, half the time it’s in steel and people are too lazy to look. Then you have scam and go and self checkouts. If there ever was a time that Audit is needed it is now

In that case, everyone at home office should be out of a job.
corporate want clubs to shrink out. they don't want to pay out bonuses to all of the associates.
You can lump cashiers as desk associates in there. The money lost at our store because of cashiers, some of who have only worked here a few months, are practically giving away money at the desk.
They've taken back tv's which weren't ours, taken back merchandise that are years old, refunded monies to canceled credit cards, only to turned around after the member tells them the card no longer exist, and refund the monies to another of the member's credit cards.
If that isn't enough, how about the new cashiers who have created gift cards over the phone for home office. lol
And home office wants to blame the few remaining cashiers, who actually run a real register, for all the shrink in the building.
Home office, your actions, your decisions, you are the reason for shrink.

Not to mention getting rid of the audit team/invoice clerk/combining receiving and claims. Doing so removed the “checks and balances “.
They created this mess , what did they expect? Lots of scammers with self check out, scan 'n go and curbside where there is no verification. Not to mention attendance issues which leaves us short handed and everyone frustrated being pulled to pick up the slack for these kids who don't care.
