Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

How ‘bout them apples?

Any changes in UIS, RTD worthwhile after this mini-re-reorg? I can’t tell whether anything is changing for the better.
Have you seen any toxic exec or manager leave?

Is it a culture in EM and allied companies to promote technically incompetent slimes and talkers to leadership roles (team leads, supervisors etc.)? Used to work for a team lead who was promoted because he was friends with the right people, totally incapable of leading a team (both technical and leadership skills), skilled in the art of manipulation and gaslighting. Yet for some reason he is still working in the company. Set me up and few others to failure because of his sheer incompetence and toxic-narcissistic attitude.

Just saw someone updated their title in LinkedIn to “Disruptive Technology Advisor in UIS”, and I don’t know whether to laugh or roll my eyes.
It has all the 3 things UIS svcks at:

  • disrupting obsolete processes
  • developing useful technology, and
  • advising on the aforementioned two

Obviously, the aforementioned person has no track record of innovation; just a supervisor in waiting. Someone ready to market spinoff, make believe, and more garbage.

EMIT, RTD and selected other parts of UIS are big frauds perpetrated on the corporation. They didn’t stop there, they even sent the worthless people to XTO to poison a new well.

Lowly RTD supervisors and other minions are busy liking any and every post on LinkedIn that executives post. Such a disgusting behavior by few disgusting folks.

This is a new strategy of socking up higher-ups to get head. o=u

Same old bad culture of keeping incompetent people happy at RTD. The worst are who do not want to do anything technical or simply incapable of producing any real value as they desperately join the management ladder.

Leadership at the Company is phenomenally great in their continued support of Human Capital. From 1st Line Supervision to the Executive Management ranks, they are inspirational in their pursuit of Operational Excellence. All employees, even those that sometimes cause trouble, should be in awe at the Extreme Debonairness exhibited by Exxon Management.

No. Despite we lost quite a bunch of people, most of them great, we still have the same load of do-nothing managers and worst - failed executives.
It’s unbelievable to me, how they are so immune to accountability. They are amazing at pretending everything is fine and none of them was at fault, that somedays I feel totally gaslighted.
The new org chart is more of the same, with the same id–ts on top.

I don't think anything has gotten better anywhere in the company. On top of that, morale has tanked so work as are doing is less efficient and poorer quality

Nope! Once you are a supervisor.. you are immune .. no matter how incompetent you are! As long as you know how to take the credit of your team and blame them for mistakes! Amazing times I would say.. definitely a gift to be able to watch how it withers and..
