For those over 50 that got the axe in Pittsburgh, consider giving Edgar Snyder a call. They hired an employment attorney last year. Thinking that if they took your case and others joined, there’s a chance BNYM might lose (because of ageism). Then the rest of us 50+ types can rest a little easier (and smile when we get our yearly mandatory online course prohibiting ageism that’s was part of the company’s bazillion dollar settlement ; )
Anyone know for sure if the lay offs continue all week or only Monday and tues?
50+ here too. 27 years of wasted time. Going to look forward to the change. Keep your chins up!

It looks like everyone is affected but the bulk of hit's are in Pittsburgh. I directly heard from folks in Oriskany and I heard that the QA teams in Pershing were affected as well.
It's a rough day and I hope they are all done by now (3:30 pm)

4 in tri-party orlando....all no severance due to “performance issues”. Real shady

Fund acct. (Under 50.) Let go early today. We all knew this was coming when they said no layoffs through 2020.

PITTSBURGH, over 50, middle management...let go this morning at 9am. I wasn't surprised when I got the call...kinda expected it. Let's hope for a bright new future rather than the constant threat that you're going to be let go every year at this time. Good luck to everyone who may be on the same ship...stay positive!
