Hey Retirees out there.... does the company offer life, supplemental, dental, vision insurance for spouses and dependents after the employee retires? I've been looking at the documents, but there is no straight answer other than to call the benefits department. I'm looking for a short answer to the current offers at this point.

Calling the benefits line is such a joke these days anyway. I called for something (after searching the site finding nothing) and after an hour and a half I got some foreigner who knew nothing, I asked for a manager and got disconnected. Called again, spoke to 2 people and got 2 totally different answers. Kinda like calling into Care....
Insurance for retiree dependents? No wonder company stock price is struggling.

Depends. Go to benefits and go under life events section and the model retirement and you can estimate your cost. Depends on your original company of hire, date of hire, date of retirement, age and years of service. Original SBC and legacy T, when age + service is equal or greater than 75 may be eligible for some benefits that include health,vision, dental and Supplemental life. As retired, under 65 health on Bronze is free, one years salary life is $145, dental and vision about $30 each. Per month. The spouse for health is $325.
Call the benefits department if you have an hour and half to sit on the phone waiting in queue. It is nearly impossible to get through to them. The recent emails about benefit changes have everyone calling, and it is likely to continue for a very long time.
Basically if you are new and need to ask then you can get retiree insurance however you pay full price. I have been here 22 years and that's my boat.
There is no correct answer to the question. Different answer for different people; bargained for vs. non bargained, hire date, legacy company, etc. Educate yourself (hint: you can't do that here).
When you call the local Mumbai, India Benefits number, make sure you dial country code +91 first.
Otherwise, you will get the re-order tone.
