AT&T Now - keeping it confusing

So a big complaint we've all heard - AT&T has too many different offerings and they're extremely confusing...HBO, HBO Now, HBO Go, HBO Max, DirectTV, DirectTV Now, AT&T TV Now, and whatever else I've forgotten.

The article above talks about AT&T TV Now (sigh to another confusing name) plans. There are 4 different plans - Entertainment, Choice, Ultimate, Premier...and then you can get each of those 4 on contract or off contract (please just give us the on contract price but get rid of the stupid contracts that NOBODY will pay for on an OTT service)...so basically, if you want AT&T service, you have 8 different choices.

AT&T - Simplify this sh–. It's way too complicated. Our own employees have lost track of how many different names we have for the same damn service!

I did the Hulu free week trial and it's good except for their live content. The quality of their live streaming is horrible and actually makes AT&T TV look really good... that's about it.

This post made a lot of sense until it devolved into a strange and obsessive rant on PowerPoint...kind of strange. PowerPoint is a useful tool Gramps, they’re not going back to chalkboards anytime soon. BTW, the AVP’s aren’t making those presentations, they have minions for that.

Today’s Intel news should be taken in by the board. They replaced a failed CEO and the stock was up 7% on the news. We have a failed C-Suite. Time to clean house and start over with outsiders. Stock will be up 10% on the news.

OMG the comment about executives and powerpoint presentations is spot on!!! I have never witnessed more FIRE DRILLS for teams to prepare a powerpoint for a meeting with an executive. Make sure it's PRETTY!!!!!

Directv now which has changed to Att tv now was only meant to be for Directv customers to stream their service wherever they may be as long as the device was connected to broad band!So why wouldn’t Att keep that option for those customers, doesn’t make sense!They should just keep it all separate!

The whole idea acquiring DTV was profoundly dumb. Another in a string of Stephenson and Stankey train wrecks. One after the other. When will it stop? It will stop when the AT&T Board brings in an outsider to clean up the mess at the executive level. Inbred executives only breed more inbreds. AT&T needs a super sized purge of the executive team. Start with Stankey and proceed to purge every executive that needs a pretty powerpoint to converse with a group of people. Pretty powerpoint slides are a sign the person has only a shallow understanding of what they are talking about. I am tired of AVP's in particular who are obsessed with powerpoint format, fonts, colors etc...

We shrink as others grow:
AT&T TV Now has been consistently losing subscribers for several consecutive quarters. The service ended the third quarter with 683,000 subscribers, well behind competitors like Hulu + Live TV (which has 4.1 million) and YouTube TV (which has 3 million).
