I believe you are very close on your numbers IBM took a 900 M dollar charge in first q, and added a 2.3 billion dollar charge in 4th. They also announced another 2.5 billion charge for 2021 Figure 15k per billion and your numbers may be a little light.

I heard 20%, target employees goes from 340k today to 270k including New Co. 90 k end up at NewCo and 180k with IBM after the dust settles, net 70k out the door.
Watching IBM was never about informing employees. They were about recruiting for a union. Once they realized that would never happen they stopped caring.

Global Markets people are really surprised that they’re getting layoffs after Arvind says he doesn’t know what they do in an AMA, new sales strategies come down, and a reorg is announced. The gravy train is finally stopping for Global Markets and it’s about time. I feel very sad for the individuals affected but it’s been a long time coming for Global Markets. Also every year C&CS has some layoffs when new budgets are set. Again, no big surprise but do feel very sad for individuals affected.
I'm thinking this is either fake news, or it was such a small number that it's not registering. When the Watching IBM page or the local Raleigh papers aren't reporting it I wonder if this is fake?

Team meeting was scheduled with about an hour's notice. Manager warned us while scheduling that there's an RA in progress. We all talked amongst ourselves beforehand and were pretty sure our department was cut.
It turns out my department is not affected, but my manager said others in our org are. Still asking around to figure out who got hit and where in my org, and the only one I know for sure is a friend in a different department who's 50+. Cloud and Cognitive Services.

Folks in Canada DO NOT accept packages as they are. Consult a lawyer... it might seem decent but you can get much more. I promise. Just let a lawyer look at it. you have nothing to lose. There is enough time to settle it with IBM before your 3 months is up. It will not drag on. They 10000 percent cannot retract there offer. Etc. Do it

It’s closer to 20% Europe took their medicine last month via the 2.3 billion restructuring and early buyouts
