Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Kudos to Todd for making the layoff process even more humiliating

Letting people go with no warning - speaking of the job elimination, not BE’s. People here 20, 30 even 40 years without being able to say good bye was bad enough.
Now we are simply given a link to a portal, a portal that does not work. And sessions hosted by people that should have been let go themselves.
It’s Thursday, I heard Monday. I still can’t see the documents.
Job well done folks.

2020 401K annual 2% match will be deposited in March 2021. This policy has been changed for 2021 but the 2020 commitment will be made as planned and will be the final time for the limp sum.

There is no 2% match anymore @gsw+18UWHDe3. It's now spread out over the year at a higher rate which equates to the same amount as pre 2021.

They said there would be a match for 2020.
I believe there will be in for the contribution you make jan 15 but not 100% certain.

Yes, you will receive the match for 2020, and you will get a prorated match the following March for your time worked in 2021. I'm speaking from my experience.

I’m pretty sure they stopped giving that last year . Another “cost” savings

I was laid-off on 1/13/2020 and got my company contribution in March 2020.

Good luck.

Does anyone know if you get the 2020 2% base pay contribution to your 401k at the end of March if you get displaced in 2021 before the end of March?
