Likely to be a script with everyone on mute and no questions advising us of our 2 week notice

Early warning to inform that formal surplus notice is coming 2/18 and that most impacted will be given only 14 days.
I wish we could just close the T University Org. What a waste of money.
It's the 30 notice/alert that you will be given notice Feb 16. Your notice will state you have 2 weeks left on payroll. Good luck
The goof ball 1st level I worked for....Mr. Gung Ho, play it by the book. Is a under 30 year guy, but right at 50 years old! Is now right in the CROSSHAIRS.....how the worm turns!
Working for the old AT&T or the Baby Bells used to be a job for life. Once people got their foot in the door, they took pride in their job and came to work happy every day (usually).
NOT ANY MORE! This place is just another McJob now. Except with more abusive managers and a lot more stress.
“ what org does she oversee?”
FBO
what org does she oversee?
why would anybody want to hire on with a bleeding dying company.
"Your street cred on how you compensate and treat your employees is what matters."
I've been saying this for years...
In all of my years at companies that rolled into SBC -> AT&T people lined up to work here. Not anymore.
And you wonder why you can't find anyone wanting to join T? Or retain new hires? When you take away benefits from those who've stuck around to earned them. And do you really thing a couple of vacation days really make the difference? thats the polite answer you get on those surveys, its not going to move the needle. Your street cred on how you compensate and treat your employees is what matters. And people [ not the ones paid by focus groups and studies who game the answers to what you want to hear] do talk to each other outside of your solicited circles. The fact you can't attract talent is a symptom of something more fundamental, like the revolving door policy. Suddenly nobodies got skin in the game including new hires or prospects. Dead End.
I agree with the OP, I think it’s THE announcement. I guess we shall see tomorrow
Possibly... it would continue to buck the trend of past surpluses, but I still doubt that the actual notice will come on a call with hundreds of people. Most likely, this will be another “early warning” letting us know to expect a notice within x amount of days. I’ve ready elsewhere that the rumored target date to have everyone off payroll is 2/26. I know for a fact that hypercare with Accenture is going horribly, so I would suspect that the February date is probably legit.
