It will 150K heads by 1Q 2022... IBM still has $3B for 2021 and another $1B for 1Q 2022.

If they strip Systems out they won't have any Z. I'd be very surprised after all this if they dump mainframes. They'll most likely milk Z until the end of time - and run pieces of cloud they can successfully keep going on it.

It’s all about efficiency. Most Boards rank their CEO’s efficiency based on revenue per employee as one of their basic measures. Fortune 500 companies tend to average 300k per employee (yes it depends on the company and where they stand on maturity, and product sets). With that said, if IBM is going to 55 billion we should see approx 180k head count remaining, split over NA/Europe/Asia. The current split is approx 47% NA and 53% Europe/Asia. If we strip Systems out (approx 7 billion) then we are looking at 156k head count. That certainly seems reasonable for a growing company that AK says IBM will be after the restructuring.
