Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

List of incompetent managers

Let’s use this thread to name all the managers who have been pulling Intel down. Who were managers but not leaders.

Managers who did more politics than useful work.

Managers who did nepotism.

The posts here are just sour grapes, amazing the hatred and lack of commons sense, but that is consistent with our nation currently.

Look at the other successful companies senior managers, VPs and engineers there is no meaningful difference in education profile or demographics than Intel.

The larger problem in Intel starts with the Senior leaderships and the culture fostered and reinforced in that clan. The role of the CEO and senior management is to identify and correct bad behavior.

Bad behavior and management isn’t a generic attribute of any one person or culture or geography, it grows to rot an organization because of failed management to correct or purge and align with what is right and needed for the business.

Look at PTD or TMG, as an organization that once was the most feared, it did a face plant and degenerated into a terrible place that lost leadership, direction, or any moral compass. This all happened not because of where the leaders came from but more from what the leadership tolerated and promoted. This doesn’t happen or can be changed in a year or three. This happens over a decades. That exactly what happened when management forgets it’s real purpose and boy did they. The rot seeps into everyone and pollutes and corrupts all there souls. Those there know this, it is everywhere and will take years to cleanse and why any recovery is far more complicated and slow

You can’t fire those that are rotted, as no one will be left, re-education takes years.

Good luck Pat, but the rot is showing and will continue to consume even with superficial surgery.
Total FUBAR

Partially agree with the previous reply. BP is a smart VP but down below layer of managers and PEs are feeding him c-ap and false information. IOTG claims100's of design wins while they have only a handful. Same layer fed false data to SMG for a whole year. As they operate in a silo no one else can check on the validity of their claims

Intel is losing to everyone, that proves the third world corruption theory.

This is all theory b—s— to blame 3rd world people. You should create/join company and not hire all these 3rd world people. Then complete in global market. If you can show you win and defeat Intel like companies then people can accept the theory of 3rd world corruption is to blame Intel's situation.

Or even if you can not join or create a company like that, do a research and publish the theory in proof. Then that can be adapted in many companies to show you're the right one. There are lots of research from country like this adapted into corporations. This is another way to prove your theory.

Why do you even ask this? Third-world corruption is endemic to Intel these days. It is so ingrained into the corporate culture that Pat would have to fire every manager from CVP to SLM to even hope to fix the problem.
