Which of the current leaders will Pat trust to Fix Intel?
Will any former leaders be brought back?

Most likely still paying hordes of Bain "expert consultants" to run the company into the ground.
Intel is fundamentally broken: business model broken; culture broken; leadership and management broken. Intel's path back to greatness isn't an incremental one but most likely a wrenching re-org and re-imagination of what it does. Pat's not up to that job. Not are any of the VPs who came up as yes men and women and only having worked at Intel.
Intel needs about 10 very strong VPs.
Unfortunately they current crop are just stooges left over from BK/BS era.
Kirk? Really
After Kirk joined Lenovo, he hired two people from intel
Kim Stevenson
Doug fisher
These were his picks. C players hire d players.
Kim and Doug were very weak intel executives. They weren’t qualified for their positions at intel. Doug running software, Kim running IT. Give me a break. They were good at managing up, not managing what they were asked to do. Kim and Doug were the weakest execs, maybe a tiny bit better thank person like Aicha,p, a complete bozo.
Kirk hired both Doug and Kim. So no thank you. We don’t need Kirk. And it will be great if Pat replaces kirk’s old boy network. I am sure he will. I am sure pat will be surprised by the level of exec talent we have at intel now.
@2mpc so you mean there will be layoffs
Realistically 2021 will be a year of addition by subtraction. Cut out some negative value cancer and free up some resources for real contributors.
It will be interesting to see if any previously-forced-out employees (via ISP, VSP) are brought back or any ERPers are persuaded to return. I suspect there were many key talents that left (or were exited) in 2015/2016 because they disagreed with bad decisions or were not in the right power clique.
Murthy!
You mean loyal people who hasn't been tossed yet?
Not the cohort which successfully hoodwinked two past CEOs, because Pat will easily find them out. He needs to draw from the small, real engineering talent that has loyally remained at Intel.
Maybe Kirk?
Fun fact
THERE IS NO ONE
