I am preparing myself for another dumb announcement this week which will say what we’ve already been told. My bet we will be told layoffs are next week and that you sit at your computer and wait for a call on Teams or Skype. Which is a pretty sure bet as that’s what they said in the townhalls. That’s it. That’s all. Another announcement of a previous announcement.

I use to call them Black Skirt Tuesdays. The ladies with the black skirts would fire you on Tuesday. The boss comes in, says his/her piece and then the black skirts come in to give you the package. Whether it was contract HR executioners when the rounds were big,or company HR in later rounds, they always wore black skirts.
