We have been having a contract dispute with express scripts. All members are receiving letters that we are not contracted next year. Now Sam’s club comes back and says we are contracted and to go back and Rebill claims but the claims are still rejecting saying pharmacy not contracted? Prime therapeutics is sending the same letters. What’s Sam’s corporate hiding from all of us about next year? Closing pharmacy all together? Makes everyone wonder.

Most Sam's Club pharmacies are within about a half mile of a Walmart and typically only do about 1/2 the volume of a Walmart pharmacy. Most pharmacies at Sam's are not profitable without their OTC sales. It's not a stretch to close unprofitable pharmacies and transfer the records to the nearest Walmart. They could keep a large portion of the business and.....guess what.....cut staff to save money. That sounds exactly like something Sam's/Walmart would do.
