Cisco is loosing it's leader position

Cisco is now a big angry boy with grown-ups around like PaloAlto.

Is this is surprise?

"Leaders" is a relative term. If you are talking about Execs, 99% of them in the US do not care. They are all in positions with guaranteed contracts. They get paid insane amounts of money and bonuses regardless of what happens. Then, when they are exited, they get their Golden Parachutes. So, I do not call these people leaders.

Loosing (or Losing) is present tense.

Maybe they already lost the leader position (past tense)?

Maybe he meant loosening.

A gradual loosening of their leadership role?
