ITAM inside GT has had tremendous success for savings and finally had us going in the right direction, but I heard it’s leader is leaving Nike.
Typical Nike (and I'm sure it's the same elsewhere). Just moving things around to look good on paper. Need to make numbers? Ok, let's outsource everything. Oh, we're spending too much money outsourcing? Let's bring everything back under Nike's roof. Rinse and repeat....
OP, I completely agree. Realizing what the waste is and how to cut it is something Nike has never been good at doing. Nike goes out and hires a firm to help it "streamline" technology, platforms, and processes only for the company to end up just cutting jobs (layoffs). Answer that riddle - why this keeps happening - address it, then we can start taking about reducing/cutting waste. Until then....more layoffs.
