Let this be your fair warning in case you're not paying attention. Some time in the future BNYM is going to mandate that you get vaccinated for COVID-19 or else you will find yourself BE and targeted for layoff. If you are full time work from home and your manager decides that he/she wants you back in the office, you will not be allowed to return to the office prior to being vaccinated for COVID-19. If you refuse, then you will risk being rated as BE, you will loose your bonus, and you will risk getting laid off. BNYM will partner with its onsite health and wellness center to make sure the vaccine is available to you. They are going to put the COVID-19 vaccination requirement directly onto your performance agreement. The only exception that will be allowed is written proof that you are allowed to refuse it for legitimate religious purposes.

You need to educate yourself on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
The injury attorneys will be lining up should some large company with deep pockets (like BNYM) mandate an employee get a COVID vaccination.
No large company in their right mind would try to do this.
@3wuu+18fNO8I3 it may not be true, but it's certainly legal. What makes you think that BNY Mellon can't require a vaccination as a term of employment? Employers as well as individual states can and do mandate vaccinations. The Federal govt will never do it though. Too much trouble trying to pass it through Congress.

It's coming. Believe it. This will be BNYM's latest tool they can use to get the staffing numbers and costs down to where they want them. The company's goal is to automate, consolidate or eliminate staff. The upcoming COVID vaccine requirement will now provide a more convenient way for BNYM to meet those goals. BNYM also has plans to incorporate COVID vaccine protocol into existing risk management and business continuity plans. Don't say I didn't tell you when all of this happens.
