Cutting Hours During The Christmas Season???

Was told today that Corporate says our store has to cut hours. What the hell are they thinking? Our club looks like c-ap. There are pallets of merchandise dropped all over the place. The book section looks like an atom bomb went off and clothing is a disaster. They boost the front end, give people a new job, pay then more money and they do nothing. The merchandisers are k–ling themselves trying to keep up with stocking, zoning and helping members. Our people who are pulling orders for pickup are overwhelmed. Today they pulled whoever they could to help play catch up. Cutting hours makes no sense to me at all.

If you are full time, they need to schedule you full time. But don't let it go on for more than the allotted time...which I believe is 3 weeks straight. It used to be that if that happened, you would be changed to part time! And many benefits will be gone.

I went to a Sam's on my day off to do some shopping. I could not get through most aisles and many items weren't even in stock.. I don't know why this corporation has turned to sh. Unless, their main objective is to turn to online, in which case only the few associates they keep will have to deal with the huge cluster !

It's all about that annual bonus.

Cut payroll during holidays, get a 20-40 thousand dollar bonus.

Yeah I said it because I'm tired of it being this big secret. Your managers are making your job harder so they can get more money for themselves.
