A few weeks ago, I read somewhere that the 2020 bonus for management employees is calculated based on LOB performance, personal performance etc... Does anyone know all of the details?

Telecom is a sinking ship. The carriers are all in a race to the bottom competing for customers. As a software engineer with very marketable skills I took VSP and immediately found a higher paying job with an awesome stock package at a major cloud based enterprise software company. If you're stuck climbing poles or RF is the only technology you now then I guess try to make lemonade out of lemons.
The last couple of years, due to a morale problem (which still exists), Hans and company have sweetened the bonus pot. Since the rules are changing yet again, I expect this years bonus will based solely on results metrics and not as generous as the past couple of years.

Back during the financial crisis bonus & raises were not eliminated. In fact the only year that was noticeably lower(although we still received both) was in 2010. But that was also the year the stock price dropped into the $26 range, so it was to be expected.
2020 new bonus rules? That’s an easy one to answer. The rules are:
1- there will be no bonuses.
2- ask your manager who isn’t getting a bonus.
3- any other questions, refer to rule 1.
KInd of late in the year to be asking that question
My understanding of management bonuses in wire line side is they will say you have the opportunity to get a bonus, then set the objectives so high, you can never make them.
Basically they can arbitrarily squash bonuses.
I dont understand the business speak. But I'd be unsure if we even get bonuses considering the economic hard times. Then again I've only been with the company 3 years. The bonus would be nice to have, but I'm not counting on it happening.
The bonuses for wireless non union management are incredible. They have made me a millionaire.
These Bonus scenarios are suspect at best. They cook the books however they please. Don't let the VP's fool you.
This change was announced in Q419 and is different for each BU - There are multiple videos from each BU leader that are out on VZWeb - a search on "STI" will return the home page where a series of videos for each QTR and overall are found. VCG/VBG/Corp/GN&T/VMG are broken out - generally speaking, each BU has 50% comprised of company performance (Revenue, Income, Diversity, Free Cash flow), as was the case pre-2020 - Corp being the only difference is this is 100% of their target. The other 50 is different for each BU - would suggest watching the video for your BU to understand more.
