This just in for PMT in IL looking for VRIF by mid December and then will know in January who's gets it and gone by February. As we are not short handed as is. Good luck all.

I find this blog a little sad. These are hard times and we have lost good people, but if you don’t like it here why don’t you quit? If you quit the people who want to be here won’t be affected. Are you all cowards? Easy to complain on an anonymous blog. If you had any self respect, or another option, you would leave and hopefully be able to look yourself in the mirror in the morning. Pathetic.
Is this true? No VRIF announced on UPT side of UOP.. not yet at least.
Last headcount report I saw was under 900 in Des Plaines now. Back in 2003 it was around 2,100 people

We have plenty of overpaid mediocre but arrogant (MBA) characters we can donate to RIF. Then get some engineers back to do some real work.
Vision 2020, Goodbye UOP in the United States. It won't last much longer with head nodding untrained seat fillers from India and China. What few customers are left aren't having it. So many ex employees and customers have been burned that it will be impossible to rebuild to what it once was. I was told by my manager that things will get worse before they get better. Well let me tell you all that there is zero possibility of things getting better.
How many people are even left in Des Plaines? Riverside?
