Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Dear Honeywell...

Dear Honey Bucket….

In this HPD season, I can without remorse say that the effort I put into my job in 2020 was commensurate with the Merit increase that I received this year.

I have silently watched as many better, brighter and more dedicated employees received their walking papers. I have worked for a boss who has no clue as to how much, or how little work I am capable of producing in any given year.

While you can dismiss this as ramblings of a burned-out employee, I was not always this way. In the beginning, I gave the company 110% every day. But after a few years of raises that do not keep up with inflation, lack of growth opportunities and the ever-looming furloughs and Riffs, I am done with this place.

With the New Year, my resolution for 2021 is to find new employment. But until then, I will give you the minimum.

You chose poorly in who you Riffed last year. When the next round of Riffs hit, I will gladly accept my fate, take my severance and move on to the next chapter….

This post really resonated with me. I did my hpd last week and for the last 12+ years, I've taken a lot of time on my HPD. I'd fill almost the entire blocks with my accomplishments, things I've implemented, improvements made, etc. This year I spent about 12 minutes on it and I honestly couldn't care less. Last year's HPD really taught me how little this company values employees. These days I'm just waiting for the next RIF announcement so I can volunteer and get out of this toxic hole.

I don't know what the OP is talking about. Honeywell was so good to me this year. They gave me the highest raise in the department (0 percent). Plenty of bonus unpaid time off and all of the work that my former teammates used to horde for themselves. It's only fitting that I give something back. So I am going to give them my notice.

This is what happens when you freeze wages and increase stock dividends.

Ha ha. I like bucket. Rhymes with something else that is more appropriate for Hwell.

Actually my 2021 resolution is to do a better job at matching the Tempe Manager to their baby pictures.

LOL, Honey Buckets in WA state are portable toilets. The guys at Boeing get a lot of laughs calling us Honey Bucket workers.

Retired now but I remember when they stole my b4 bonus away from me. I easily withheld that amount of effort and more. It is very easy for knowledge workers to do that but management is too stupid to realize that or are dealing with their own issues and don't care.
