I have been in retail for almost 7 years. Not as long as some, but long enough to know the business. This really is the worst I’ve ever seen it.
I understand our end of the business ebbs and flows. It’s high pressure sales. But it seems as though there is no direction.
Not to mention the insanely high goals. My voice gross add goal was 180 last month and we barely hit it. This month it’s 260. Traffic is down exponentially.
I’m not trying to complain, I’ll do my best. But how dense is upper management to think these goals are achievable?
Let’s not even get into how much of a piece of hot garbage AT&T TV is.
It’s not justifiably better than many other similar services to lock people into a contract and double the price.
How did they not learn from DTV’s failing business model? Who’s idea was it to nuke the cold left overs from the t–d Buffett?

My local store back 5 years ago ran with 13 RSC 2 asm and 1 ran.
Now they have 4 RSC 1 ASM and 1 RSM.
Also they only have curbside and let two people in the store at a time. Very unwelcoming.
Dont worry, managers will hire young people that dosnet know any better, pressure them to do unethical sales to get those numbers up! Then reps will be fired and cycle starts over! Sorta like a roll of toliet paper it is!!

This has always been the case retail management doesn't really care what their underlings have to do the "meet the numbers" and the numbers are set by the bean counters and investors that management caters to.
The poor front line schmucks who not only put their health at rissk also have to deal with the psychological torture of Type A-holes , who's whole mantra boils down to ABC (always be closing)... It's just how legacy retail is setup.. wonder. If Apple store employees have to deal with this sh*t.
