Has anyone consulted an employment attorney (after the fact) and if so, who and what was the outcome? Will the verbage of the separation agreement automatically indicate that nothing can be done?
The bottom line is this. It seems as those being targeted for layoff received a terribly low bonus at the end of September with an "artificially lowered" IPF to make the numbers work. If IPFs were really that low, folks would have been on performance improvement plans (I wasn't and had no negative comments from Manager, Director or VP). The early retirement option was an age based layoff. The regular layoffs seemed to come fast and totally unexpected at the beginning of October. Many of us received RSU awards earlier in the year; only reserved for those noted as "high achievers" and those Cisco planned to invest in for the longer term. Add this all up and the $$$ loss is significant.
Part of me just wants to move on and the other part of me wants to fight back.
Appreciate any and all input.
