So the young people get extra PTO and extra holidays. Those of us with tenure lose a week and get three bank holidays to replace them. I used to use PTO for some medical issues but no more. Time to start dipping into that sick time bucket.

I think HR needs to have remedial training on "Do the Right thing!" they forced on everybody before. those with 20+ years should be grandfathered in!
Ok, boomer.
Only advice from a old timer that I ever listened to....was leave on your own terms. I stayed in craft 43 years, got the big 80k buyout.....was also turning 62. Got my SS, unemployment and 80K to boot! You managers hang in there!! Don’t let no punks run you out before your time and don’t let pride talk you into leaving unless you got something better!!
Did this really happen? How come there's been no mention of it in my division?
No, the company is not paying it's workers based on their worth. It is paying the minimum pay and benefits package required to attract workers while competing with other employers for talent.
Many who don't like it and can find better jobs are going elsewhere. As that happens, this company and its failed management and its remaining workforce continue to sink to the bottom of the barrel.
It's not socialism. The company is paying what it feels you are worth (in terms of cash and benefits). If you don't like it go elsewhere
Socialism at its finest
IHX gets unlimited sick time meanwhile techs et a write up for catching a cold from a customer.
I just referred my friend and he started and he now gets 23 pto days plus the 9 holidays in IHX. That is 32 days — 6 weeks and 2 days of time off! And unlimited sick time, 3 months of parental leave, 3 weeks caregiver leave, enhanced bereavement, and so on. His wife is due in just over 6 months so he will be eligible for the 3 months off with pay and commission plus can take another month of pto after that. It is crazy!
Complete horsesh1t
Part of your A&D will be..to not use more than 1.5 sick days during 2021. Don’t meet it..well, you know the rest.
Same! I’m getting sick Easter week!
