Does anyone know if any Houston EMIT managers, supervisors, or SDMs got involuntary separated? I just hear of individual contributors......

Most technical skills are exiting from EMIT for new jobs. EMIT management isn't going to fall on their swords or skill up.
What is that going to leave?
EMIT Canada will be reduced to new hires who are looking for an exit because there is no future and retirement eligible folks who are bitter they didn’t get a package as a retirement bonus.
Recalled they were chanting Google fast Apple easy.. those jokers are still here now! Got to cut cut cut!
EMIT mgmt has been a joke for years. Wish there was a suggestion box to nominate folks for separation.
I agree - SDMs are worthless. Paper pushers that should be outsourced to HR or a 3rd party. Why does an SDM have to be an employee in EMIT. Makes zero sense.
Agree EMIT is top heavy, but you need to consider the future of IT. IT will only be "relationship managers" in the future and almost everything else will be MSP'd, unless you are in UIT.
Its laughable how far EMIT is with their cloud adoption compared to the competition. If you are CL26 or lower and less than 20 years, you need to leave now or work for a large MSP (Infosys, HCL) in hopes of getting a tower lead position!
I thought EMIT exists to support business. This is exactly why EMIT should be scaled back, offshored and hold to their performance agreement. When the support staff becomes the strategy maker, we end up with neither support nor strategy. It is like milking a bull.
@vfn your 30 minute of work was probably something stupid that wasnt worth 30 minutes of effort. EMIT isnt there to do your every wishing. Part of the reason EMIT is "so bad" is because we've historically done just as the business wanted even if it was a stupid direction.
I needed assistance on something recently that would have taken 30 minutes of work. Went through 3 layers of management only to be told they didn't have the resources.
EMIT needs a massive overhaul.
Logistics had a manager whose closest experience with logistics prior to promotion was he sat around corner from the logistics supervisor at that site. Was on track to upper management though and had/has to go through each group for 3 years before VP status...
EMIT is an overhead company with no profit to show. Old technology, c-ap support and big talks only. The management and the entire organization should be offshored to boost profit for the future of the company.
In college the lower the ratio of students/professor the better, same as in EM?
SDMs are so worthless. 90% of them have no clue about the field or technology that they "support"
They should have been the first to be laid off
Your manager or supervisor are more qualified to function as your SDM
Blasphemy! Don’t you know you need a 1:1 ratio of management to worker bees to function? Those second homes aren’t going to buy themselves.
