How about we cut salaries by 20% (to start with from VP on down), totally and forever eliminate GDP and the 401k match... That should save quite a bit of money, and will most likely create an exodus which will save additional money!!! I think IBM should put me in charge of cost cutting, I will do very well.

But seriously... this is another clear indication that AK has no clue whatsoever how to grow revenue. The only thing he is trying to do is survive for 5-10 years so he can pocket his money and retire like Ginni the Eagle... may be AK will also buy a Chalet in Switzerland!!

Too many managers and Band10 people, too much levels of managers between a Band9 and the CEO.
ALL COMPANIES are cutting levels of the hierarchy, to speed-up decisions.
And too much off-shore persons, too much in India and Africa, with low level of quality and execution.
IBM must cut at least 70.000 useless people and design more lean decisional processes.

Start in main office with executives jobs overlap other executives
How many managers do they need? 1st line, 2nd line, 3rd line?
Cut down executive bonuses and stock options

My vote is for flattening the Executive levels and cutting all executive compensation. If its good enough for the rest of us, it's good enough for them.

We really need to remove a ton of Band 10 and higher , especially the VP level. There are waaaay too many VP’s just waiting to retire and collect their vested shares- take them all out.

It’s all a rouse. He’s just pretending to listen to employees. You should know by now that they never take action on any of these questions or surveys or “jams” that they have. He already has plans. This was just a feel-good carrot for employees.

GBS Partners are waste of resources. Bunch of non-technical purely project managers with elaborated title and undeserving sense of entitlement. They can't do the value props and their strategy is just dropping the pricing.
