Thread regarding National Oilwell Varco Inc. layoffs

Tuboscope

What’s happening with this atrocity? Les the Mess gets demoted, Rick “the Pr!€k” Cook gets “voluntarily retired” and they take everyone’s company vehicles away. We still have these ridiculously long ALT calls and meetings to plan for meetings yet no sales. Stick a fork in her man, she’s done. Merry Christmas everyone.

I agree, definitely feels like things are on autopilot. I’ll see some people come in quite a bit then they’re working remotely for a month. Who is leading this place? No emails or posts to all of our employees about how we’re doing and what to expect. Such a shame.

Feels like the entire place is on autopilot. Even more than it usually does during holidays. Big shakeup? Never happened. Army bro replacing engineering VP and cleaning house? Never happened. New technology, products, or initiatives? Never happened.

(Ok so that last one really doesn't have anything to do with the current situation. Just the Tubo way for the last 20 yrs under current engineering VP).

Heading into 20201 ready for more multi-hours long repetitive ALT calls and Plant 3 alarm tests.

Things are pretty quiet. Imagine everyone in management is waiting to see what the industry does. If things stay like they are now, you know there will be more consolidations and closures.

Here we go again. What a ridiculous post. If it’s so bad at Tuboscope, why don’t you just leave? Why stay and be miserable and resort to posting stupid comments to a layoff post because you’re not man enough to make these comments to the person’s face?

Don't worry guys soon all those R&M visuwell technologies that they swear worked but they just accidentally lost when Tubo bought them will suddenly decide to work again. It's right around the corner!

Granted it's been around that same corner for the last five years, but it's really close this time!
