Once IBM announced the split IBM/NewCo, I understood that the company does not see me as an added value, but just as a cost.
I am willing to get out of IBM before the RA will hit me.
Which IT company should I choose?

Most of the IBMer are Cookie cutters and I don’t think they will get to pick a company. They will have to settle with what they get unless they know something other than spreadsheets, powerpoints and meetings. I’ve interviews at many places and my time with IBM has been looked down at.
Do something meaningful, not tech work.
NewCo.
This really sounds like a troll post from HR fishing for information from current employees.
How about the firm of Dewey,Cheetum and Howe
Of course you're useless. You work at IBM and stalk this web site looking for career advice. If you are willing to leave before you get RA'd, leave today. Don't wait.
Most useless post ever.
I can't believe you thought IBM saw you as a value. That idea was gone at the end of 1999. You're only a cost and number to them. Go to a competitor. You know the skeletons in the closet...use that to your advantage.
Ibm treats employees like garbage while paying very low.
Other big tech might treat you like that but will pay you way more than ibm. So it depends on your definition of the treatment.
Why are you asking anonymous people? Just choose one that best fits your ideal employer. Most of these big tech companies treat their employees like garbage. IBM is just particularly skilled at treating their employees like garbage.
