Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

CIP

If I am not mistaken, there will be CIP for 2020, it may not be what we have seen in the past, but it will be something, correct? Let’s dream that they give a nice CIP for surviving 2020!

The interesting thing is the CIP goes up exponentially with PSG. All the way up people are patting themselves on the back for this terribly managed reorganization. MW and JG even did a webex about it. So there is a chance it will be higher than it SHOULD be.

CIP is part of the compensation package. It enables company to pay lower base salary. Nothing wrong with speculating about it. Yes, there will be a CIP for 2020 performance year.

Even after all of the layoffs, there are still conceited, arrogant chevroids worrying about a bonus. Typical of chevron employees, especially the young ones. So ignorant, so clueless, so selfish.

Realistically I would expect 0.3 CIP. The low range of 0.7 does not cut it for this year. Next year we might get much higher so just be glad you made it to 2021 and move on with whatever you get.

What CIP? The second direct stimulus check you will get from the government at year end will be larger than any previous CIP handed out by Chevron.

I’m not surprised that a CVX Employee would post something so ignorant on a Lay-off site. Your time is coming buddy. It wasn’t this time but it’s coming. You are useless as anyone else. Prolly more so. I wish your momma had raised you better.

There will be a CIP. CF will be on low end - probably .7-.8. BU factors will all be 1.

Don't compare against TSLA employees on bonuses. Large draw there is the RSUs. A friend who joined there 3 years back had his RSU jump from $120k to over $600k in 2 years.

DP is going to give the male bonuses to the females in HSE. Gender pay gap fixed!

The corporate factor has never been lower than 0.7, so plan for that.

I wonder what they are getting at TSLA (the professional employees)

Tesla Motors pays an average of $8,403 in annual employee bonuses. Bonus pay at Tesla Motors ranges from $2,500 to $16,500 annually among employees who report receiving a bonus. Employees with the title Senior Software Engineer earn the highest bonuses with an average annual bonus of $16,500.

Don’t be surprised if the corporate CIP for 2020 is a negative factor. That’s right, they’ll be clawing back some 5% of your salary for overpayment.

MW already said there will be one. Guessing factor of .7 or .65.

If completed one quarter in 2020 on payroll, but a pro rated CIP

Yes there will be one, and yes Corp factor will be above 50% (I would be quite happy with 80%!). Because of the reorg all company factors will be 100%. Your personal performance can theoretically vary between 80% and 120%, but most will be close to 100%. So the take home will be a bit lower than years past, but really not that much lower considering how deep in the c-ap hole the whole industry is sitting.

Whatever on average you got for the past 3 years, is decided by 10, so that is what you should expect at best!
