Are they eliminating all registers in all the clubs? There's so many unhappy members standing in line. The lines are all the wat to clothing and they pay 45 or 100 mmmm

Sams and Walmart learned long ago dont give in and make customers wait in long lines and then once self checkouts are installed customers will flock to them, Eventually at Sams all members will either go thru self checkout or scan and go. Curbside is growing as well. The more cashiers that can be eliminated the more they will save. Customer Service is a joke. Once they figure out a way to elimanate merchandisers it will happen. That process has already started no one is allowed to think on there own anymore they have to do exactly as they are told be they buyers. Forklift drivers will always be needed because we probably have the worst buyers in the world and they continue sending us c-ap we dont need and they repeat it every year.
How did you think home office was going to make up for the raises they gave and are going to give? They won't pay someone fifteen or more an hour to work a belt and register. The time it takes to run an order across the belt is not cost effective. A large order can take anywhere from five to ten to fifteen minutes.
Lazy members don't want to take their groceries out of the cart or put groceries back in. Then they can't find their membership card, even though they've been standing in line forever. (They should have had it ready.) Then they can't find their credit card, taking even longer. Then they forgot something, can we go get it. Or they busted something. Or stuffed their carts so full, jamming it all in there, that something came unwrapped, can we get another one for them.
Go on to Costco. We'll be "Happy to Help" you out the door.
Yes there will eventually be no cashiers this should not be a surprise to anyone they have been testing this in Texas and Arkansas it has been on the news several times it is not just a walmart thing other retailers as well as fast food are moving to no cashiers.

Good to know. If customer service is not a concern, I'll cancel my Sam's membership and join Costco where they care about the customer!
Agreed. More check out lines are a thing of the past. If they don’t embrace the future, they will wait in line.
More cashiers and/or registers will never ever happen. Ever. I would guess most of the people who stand in line are scared of scan and go, or just stubborn. Some of them are boycotters of scan and go and self check, thinking it will make a difference. Newsflash: It won't. Ever.
