Here's the intranet link:
https://w3.ibm.com/w3publisher/european-works-council/ewc-minutes-opinions

They don't have any details there yet, they just summarize

  • that Europe is a Services market and therefore a large portion of IBM revenue there have been delivered by IS = in Europe the impact of the spinoff will be noticeable. Also Europe has about one fifth of IBM's IS employees, that includes the delivery centers in Eastern Europe
  • that they discussed the scenarios of positioning the NewCo and RemainCo after the divestiture, taking the competition into account. They expect significant investments to properly set things up
  • that there is going to be a scoping exercise to determine who goes and who stays, similar as with other divestitures. This will go on during early 2021. Before this is done, no headcount data related to the spinoff can be shared because they simply don't exist yet

EWC is interested in these topics basically to be ready.
No "breaking news" nor lists of spun off / RAed people there...

Please, post the link to public EWC documents (if they uptodate - I doubt, right?) or copy and past here. But not just via a traced by IBM, INTRANET! Thanks.

Could someone please do a summary and post here? It hurts to say this but after the recent layoffs I don’t see enough of a change.
