All those of us who have been ISP’ed in 2016, is there anyway we can communicate to the new CEO to consider lifting this rehire ban. A lot of qualified people would like to rejoin intel but this clause is just making this impossible.
May be Pat the new CEO can correct this unfair policy and open up the opportunity for many great talents who are eager to comeback.

To all these folks who went to greener pastures, what kind of work did you end up doing? Was it the same job profile as you held at Intel, or different skill set?
Why would you come back to Intel? It's over my friend. Screw them - it's a sinking ship. In a 5 years everybody will be using ARM CPUs as Apple put final nail in Intel's coffin. Everybody will just follow Apple's path as they have to. As usual, Intel replied with PPT - it's not enough, it's over...
For those who ERP-ed, were nudged out via VSP, or forced out thru ISP, I hope you all have tried another employment opportunity since Intel, and more than one if your initial post-Intel job was not great. There are greener pastures, but you have to look for them. This means trying them out and possibly encountering a brown pasture or two initially.

You are wrong. In my 50's was ISPed luckily with rule of 75. I was likely age discriminated by truly foolish management. But really who cares. It was like I got out of jail. Pocketed a very large severance and got a better job. Very happy and zero chance I am coming back. Maybe if they gave another very large joining bonus I may talk. No age discrimination where I am.
There are some sht head mangers in intel who were looking to unleash their vendetta on targeted employees and gave them ISP even when they were performing well, so if someone is a victim and would like to come back and kick the managers a* why not re-join?

I think this is unlikely to happen. You can only get SL4 if you're grade 7 or higher, so the ISP likely impacted more experienced people. If Intel didn't like your age 5 years ago, it's not going to like your age now unless you're a really strong engineer. If you're a really strong engineer, you would've landed in a better opportunity within the last 5 years and won't want to go back. It's not to say you're not qualified to work at Intel. I just don't think age discrimination in the tech industry is going away regardless of who's the CEO.

I was the one singled out to meet distribution, high grade good performer but someone has to get the level 4 stock. The VP and senior VP didn’t care, meet the quota. They did they walked me they were happy it wasn’t them. I feel for all the others trapped and in someways no feelings, you control your own fate.
I had kids in high schools and intermediate school and a life and career... I should have gotten smart and left that $hit $how couldn’t be happier and better off now. I know almost no one that left either voluntarily or involuntarily that think that would be the place to work.
I’d never return to that poisonous backstabbing, deception and backstabbing place.
