There was no RA in my department as well... for now... IBM setup another $3B for layoffs for the rest of 2021, and another $1B for 2022.

So there are still plenty of layoffs coming.

I'm in the US. Two of my EMEA colleagues in Systems were offered packages and they took the package. One guy has been trying to retire (40+ years with the company) but was refused last year. Then he was offered the package. So IBM is serious about getting the head count down. I just had my Checkpoint and there were no RAs in my department. At least yet...
