Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

RSC's now assist in home internet installs

Here in the midwest we lost so many installers due to layoffs that when we sell internet to some people, not everyone, we have no install dates available to use. We can only select mailing the self install kits. Which is fine unless your customers are 75 yrs old. Ah the life of an RSC, both the installer and the sales rep. On the bright side, we get to keep our sales and control our money.

I think that is why att keeps so many managers on staff so they can fill in when the unions go on strike.

if you are new to att I would find other employee at your earliest convenience.

Unions were never very smart....a necessary evil at best.

@dxf, I believe you got it backwards. T runs the U and T tells the U what it can and can’t do.

Talking doesn’t make you an “Installer”. Be glad you have a job until they lay you off.

Public unions got their guy in the White House, not private unions. Ask the Keystone pipeline union folks!

not sure if getting rid of the unions would be a bad thing or good thing. looks like the union actually run att. internet installs are too small for them to do now.

good news though the unions got their guy in the white house.
