I have 2 more months and I’m gone as my current project wraps up. Came in as a CBD consultant in 2016 and got into cloud in 2019 was considered a high performer and was promoted two times. Change of direction was the only reason I got from the partners who spoke to me. I have Google and AWS certs along with OSCP, CISSP and a security clearance from some government work as well.

As others have said, It literally does not matter whether you were a high performer or not. I was Layoff Class of June 2020 and the primary factors in my layoff were age, band level and salary. Like many others got great checkpoint reviews, etc , etc. but was laid off “in the time of COVID”. IBM is a great place to be gone from.
@gov+1939SbXI maybe their culture is bad but they pay twice as much as ibm and only letgo certain % of bottom performers.
At ibm performance doesn't matter at all while laying one off.
Aws can also be used as a stepping stone to something else because of brand value, reputation and pay Which ibm has completely lost.
Being a high performer at IBM means nothing... you are just a number... when your number is selected by the HR AI model, your time is up.
I would highly suggest to young people to avoid IBM at all cost as most people don’t have a future at IBM.
You should do research on AWS and culture. It's as bad as IBM.
Recommend checking out AWS. We are hiring based on hyper growth. I'm a former ibmer and there are hundreds of our colleagues who have made the switch. So glad I did.
Are you in US Federal or regular GBS CAI? CAI is the worst service line in GBS and Accenture, Deloitte regularly can make better offers for anyone from that team. If your clearance is still active you could be snapped up quick by Amazon. You will land on your feet. GBS Americas is so horribly managed and they lose good staff all the time.
What country?
