Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Vaccine

AT&T deemed many employees essential during onset of COVID-19, why are we not seeing anything that provides access to a vaccine that would protect those same essential employees? Sounds like a class action case waiting to happen as we are only essential when convenient to them.

Not going to line up for this one. I’ll take my chances. I am young and healthy, great shape. 99% survival rate. This vaccine on the other hand....no thanks.

You are essential. So stop you bellyaching and go get your vaccine instead.

Lol @ the comparative analysis on who "deserves" the vaccine first versus commentary focused on the ineptitude of the federal government in producing and distributing an adequate amount of vaccines and then the ineptitude of local governments in administering those vaccines. Every job is noble if you get your a$$ up everyday and flip burgers for 8 hrs - so be it. It's an honest living. If you encounter people doing that and are being told your position is "essential" - no matter how "trivial" you all may find the work - YOU NEED TO BE PRIORITIZED FOR A VACCINE. I know this thread is choc full of boomers and ones of a certain Karen hue because of the stupidity being spewed here.

It’s not like I maintain hospital or nursing home communication. Oh wait! anyways I’m just happy to be able to log in each morning and be able to have a job here another day. 3.5 years to go Yay so happy

Lol.....the day is coming when you will be req’d to get the vaccine in order to work and make money......and bank and buy food and travel. Be careful what you wish for. You sound like you need the Company or Government to make all your decisions.

It is not AT&T that decides who gets the Vaccine and when, they can't just go out and get some.

Well sit down clown, let me give you some simple math. And this is not AT&T jaded math. I come into contact with approx 40-60 people a day. 100 on weekends. Now multiply that times the 12 reps that I work with who do the same. Now put the variable that we are working with the most disgusting thing that people carry on them - their cell phone. It's proven, your wireless device is as bad or worse than a public toilet seat. So the reps in the stores, ya we work with alot of them. Daily. And we are not deemed " Essential " ......... Ya , I am sorry but I seem to missing something. PYHOOYA.

I for one do NOT want the AT&T corporation telling me I have to get a vaccine. Stop being such a scared socialist wanting the big organization to tell you want to think and do. If you want a vaccine personally, the person to talk to is your healthcare provider, not your idi@t manager at AT&T.

Just remember that a requirement to get the vaccine by your employer makes them responsible for your health afterwards. Don’t let them force you into signing a liability waiver to get the shot.

Officials? It's going to take months to produce billions of vaccines. Other countries are complaining that Americans are getting vaccinated before them. Entitlement is everywhere.

What an ignorant post. Whether due to benevolence or self interest, AT&T has every incentive to vaccinate its employees. Even the old geezers that spend all their time on this board. But the rollout is being run by incompetent local officials.

This isn't a Karen. This is likely the same guy that posted 4Yr Ago, someone who washed out of AT&T and can't move on. From where I'm standing, AT&T got rid of the right guy.
(Government is deciding who gets access to vaccines first, not AT&T.)

Vaccines are short everywhere. Not even frontline medical personnel have enough, and AT&T is waaaay behind them in the queue.
