Is anyone else not being told that their co-workers have COVID? The managers at my club refuse to tell anyone. I don’t need to know who the person is, but I just want to know that there is cases in my club.

There is specific guidelines that have to be followed - HIPAA stops us from telling personal info, but we can say "someone you work with has tested positive". If someone is exposed and is out, this is not the same. You'll only get notified if you've worked with this individual 2 days before showing symptoms or 2 days before testing positive. In many cases, people aren't alerted because they don't fall into this timeline.
If you get tested because you've been exposed, you are out for two weeks regardless of the result due to the inaccuracies of the tests. Unfortunately, many managers will not suggest getting tested for this reason.

This has been going on for awhile and if by now you cant figure out when someone is out for more than 3 days they either tested positive or they most likely live with someone who has tested positive so my friend im gonna just have to call you a dumb–s. Anyone that has tested positive in my club always post it on Facebook so everyone knows. Are you people not friends with your coworkers. I had it and told everyone and didnt care who knew. Just a FYI Ive had worse cases of the flu.

Your absolutley right, what happened to, have you been in close contact with someone for more than 15 minutes. All they care about is profit.
We know when someone is out for covid when they give us a itemized check list for cleaning.
In my club a coworker was out positive .. he openly said TELL everyone you have my permission. Managnent didnt say a word and we all work close together in the tire shop. They didnt even warn us that someone had it.. only said our coworker was on vacation.. Sam's club is f—ing crooked as hell and their negligence has probably led to several deaths

HIPPA is for personal information! They can and should tell you if someone in your department is Covid-19 positive. They can’t tell you who but they can let you know and suggest you get tested! They don’t care about you they only care about the bottom line on their paychecks!
The truth is they do not want to pay you to quarantine you can tell someone they were exposed without naming the individual everyone knows when someone disappears from the schedule what is going on anyway. The goal is to keep everyone coming to work no matter what happens.

Unless you were less than 6’ feet from the person without a mask for 15 minutes or more you will not be informed. Masks and 6’ distancing are mandatory in clubs. So it’s not likely you will be told. It is frustrating. But if you feel that you’ve been exposed you have the right to be tested, Regardless if you are having symptoms. You have the right.
Yeah kinda can't it's called hippa can get in a lot of trouble that is why they have to sign a paper to even be the one to do the assessment when u come in.
How to tell if someone has COVID. Click on notes app on scan gun. Then click on personnel. Type in the name of the person u think may be out for Covid. They will not have a schedule😉🤫
Have you never heard of HIPAA? Medical conditions are PRIVATE!
Know of at least one person I’ve worked with that got it and management didn’t tell me. So if I’m around anyone outside of work that gets it I’m not saying anything and going to work like normal lol.
