Costco $1 raise

Feeling kinda mmm swell lol since I left Sam’s Club after 13 yrs being paid $17.25 an hour. Given severance, my choice, left receiving lead when they did the role change. I’ve worked at Costco for a little over a year and my pay is $16.50. Add $2/hr for Covid and that’s a solid $18.50. No gloat, but do you get my drift!? Flexin’ on my exes!

Yes, indeed many of us made well over $17 an hour over 13 years ago and obviously still do. That was when they were a decent company and gave merit raises. Now giving 2% to everyone every year is a flat out insult. I shop both places and Costco is always much cleaner. Neither one has much help on the floor.

Costco last paid out extra for Covid back in August of last year(2020) and since then has offered no additional incentive pay.

I'm sure id you worked at Costco for 13 years then transferred to sams you would probably be in the same situation. I dont think they would pay you 17$ an HR 13yrs ago. Congrats though.

Nearest Costco to me is over 100 miles away. Wouldn’t leave because of the amount of pto time I get anyway. Time off is more important then $ per hour to me.
