Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

GT&O Call

Cathy B, while yes, as an individual you may have worked extremely hard in 2020 and that did not directly equate to a high end of year bonus, unfortunately that's not the way the firm is graded.

So the message is, doesn't matter how hard YOU work, it's more about how the company does. "I'm proud that we work for a company that is so dedicated to increasing the value for our shareholders. (she owns millions of dollars in company stock) Noted, won't be working nearly as hard in 2021. Thanks for clearing that up, Cathy.

I am withholding my opinion until I see what our CEO received in Bonuses. His should be cut as well, for the same reason his minions are stating that ours was cut.

Bonus down 75% - no pay increases for the last 4 years. Worked my a– off - guess they don't care... so why should I.

What I found interesting about the call is that, during a year that we all worked from home and the output was extremely high and successful, she still thinks My Work is a bad thing as it generates lower productivity then being in an office. (Her words - not mine).

Not like most of you have better options, if you did you wouldn't be complaining.

My bonus got cut too and not much of an increase. I'd like to say, "Well the company has been good to me, blah blah blah". Maybe if we had someone other than Cathy running things, I'd tow the company line. But she is such a poor manager and so unlikeable that I cannot do it. I had the misfortune of being on one of her meetings. She comes off as a vindictive, selfish, out of touch witch.

I very much agree. A lot of song and dance from Moynihan about being pandemic pro employee and yet here it is. I frankly think they kept bodies to ensure coverage, if folks went down with Covid. An insurance policy with a plan to save money on the backend. I miss the bank I once knew that had heart (granted that was a long time ago). I'm done! I'm assuming layoffs are coming. I'm hoping to be on the list!

I’m betting there will be a revolt after this. We worked our asses off for the bank in 2020. Many people doubled or tripled output. The bank acted as though we shouldn’t complain because we were all stuck at home and had nothing better to do. And now? This is how they treat us? If top executives, including Cathy get one dime of bonus after this I will be furious. They chose money over associates. Screw them. This year I’ll take extra long lunches and all of my pto while working at a snail’s pace. They have proven that it just doesn’t matter.

My merit increase was so low and my bonus nearly cut in half. My total comp will be less in 2021 than 2020. I guess they’ll get what they pay for.
