What about the multiple acquisitions that still operate with massive duplication in resources... Huge waste of $$$ in IT.

50% employees in cisco still have part-time jobs and income. Need cleanup and ROI by individual
Managers still get cut from vendors

IT is no longer IT - bunch of portfolios moved across , most of the VPs reshuffled promoted demoted . How will this work. It is definitely bold ...

Seems like another round of LR around the corner, the management has become more and more greedy and no care for lower in hierarchy employees.

There is no failure at the SVP level, Cisco is a relationship based company. Performance is inconsequential.

So if this all fails in 24 months, do the expert consultant/advisory specialists refund their fee to Cisco? There is an old saying that those who can, do. Otherwise they consult.

SVPs in IT are only skilled in cutting costs through outsourcing.

  • reorg
  • quietly outsource work to India
  • quietly conduct layoffs
  • sell building in San Jose

Why do SVP and above feel they need to write War and Peace emails on re-orgs, full of cyclical nonsense and fluffy words that in the end say nothing about what the changes really mean? Good gracious, the emails from MM and SW were eye-pokingly dumb consultant speak. No wonder they can't articulate a product or services strategy. Everything is about 'synergy' and 'acceleration' and 'transformation' and 'leverage' and blah blah blah.
