You can only work from certain states for customer service. Verizon does a lot of scummy things but moving a new state and not checking to make sure that is ok before you actually move is 100% on you. There are a lot of states you cannot work from home for with Verizon unless you have special circumstances. Wanting to move there is not special circumstances

Probably legal issues such as business and unemployment taxes. Verizon has to have a legal presence in the state you want to work from.

I got laid off last year, went to Customer Service, moved to a new state and changed my address in About You, and I have 90 days to find another job or be fired. Verizon is trash.

I don’t understand the question. Why can’t you work from home in the state you live? Which State?
