Last year there were big layoffs prior to reviews. Any rumors for this February?

What dept had layoffs this last Thursday?
They can start letting employees know about merit / rrp Feb 15th up to I think March 2. So before the 15th for most if you are gone but some the last two weeks of February as well.
Sorry to hear that. What team were you on? Seems like Thursday’s are their favored day for layoffs.
Our entire team was dissolved last Thursday.. There are definitely layoffs happening. They added a meeting invite 15 minutes before laying us all off. They did offer a severance packet depending on your years of service.
Based on what I’m seeing as merits and RRP, this is going to be a bad review season
So would layoffs typically happen prior to reviews, as in the past? Or do reviews not matter I wonder.
Reviews must be delivered between Feb 15-March 2. Slightly later than in past years. RRPs, if any, paid out in March 5th paycheck.
Ours hasn’t mentioned reviews either, but I heard they had to be done by 3/2.
Great question, I’m wondering the same. Our team hasn’t mentioned a single thing about reviews.
