You want union, might as well go work for City of Calgary. Long coffee break every day, good benefit.
It is pretty funny, people still thinking of job security in 2021. Wake up, no one look out from you but yourself.
Unions would greatly worsen the oil & gas industry! Just watch the news on any given night and observe the entitlement with which they operate! They breed incompetence and laziness at every level!
Shouldn't Alberta government do something towards the dwindling Oil & Gas industry? The layoff is massive and been going on for few years. This is unprecedented situation, AB government should provide more support to ex-employees; different benefits that the regular EI, health benefits......etc
The original intent of unions was justified in seeking legislation for safer working conditions for miners and factory workers. Unions these days are pushed by the entitled and the lazy "so they can't lay us off". Everyone knows it.
Oh totally agree at the field level, you would be crazy to not act on that in uncertain times in the company.
You would get the unifor national energy pattern over 5 years and they could never lock you out. Who the hell would run the place?? Take the power back boys and girls
