Things have been going from bad to worse here and my motivation has been following that trajectory. What is there to work for? What is there to give it your all for? It's not as if we're going to get rewarded for it. Whatever promotions are available are immediately filled by the resident brown nosers. So why even try?

Someone needs to tell your boss to hassle you more. That will fix the motivation problem.

Just received a cash/equity award this week. Told ACIP was not funded this year due to company not meeting goals. They called it 'Special recognition incentive' or something like that. No one else in my group got it.
There are no cash bonuses for executives but for all others we are paying cash and equity awards. We are one of only 18% of companies paying an incentive. More misinformation being spread by our competitors that we are creaming!

Agree. No ACIP bonus this year and merit increases looking increasingly unlikely.
