The only time salary would be lowered is if an employee decided to relocate. Example would be an employee currently living and working in NY is offered the option to be fully remote, based at home. After several months, the employee decides to move to Pittsburgh because cost of living is lower and he can continue to perform all of his duties from anywhere since he is based at home. At that point, the employee salary would be adjusted to match the Pittsburgh based salary band, resulting in a decrease to current pay.

Why would salaries be lowered? The bank will save more money on office space than employees will on commuting. Income taxes will probably be the biggest savings for employees.

nyc??? unlikely..it will likely be essentials maybes and nevers...and rotationals desk sharing
salaries will be adjusted accordingly
you can save on commute but lower pay etc
