Are there any new updates? I wish I had insights on how many people will be laid off.

HR is going to layoff all employees who are getting ppp pay. If anyone working from home receiving that, most likely. bye bye.
I heard the layoffs will be horrific. I would recommend to start looking for a new job.
I am just waiting for them to offer me my severance package. I will have no issues finding another job very quickly. I know my talents will be appreciated and rewarded anywhere else. This place has become too bloated at the top. So many idea to optimize process and save dollars but it falls on deaf ears. They say they want to hear new ways of doing things, but too many people protecting their turf instead of doing what is right.

If we look at what other Banks have done they have laid off thousands so far. So I think it’s fair to say the layoffs will impact thousands if not tens of thousands like the layoffs in 2009. In addition to layoffs you’ll probably see attrition methods applied to get people to leave voluntarily such as little to no bonus, no pay increases, pay cuts, etc.
The pandemic has really hurt the entire banking industry so it will definitely require big banks to downsize to deal with big losses.
I hope they start laying off so I can get unemployment for six months . I hate this low paying job.
Heard it’s going to be ugly and all of those positions will be competing for internal and of course hiring internal will come to a halt.
Not a good look in a pandemic so more than likely they will make employees so miserable that they quit so it appears that natural attrition was to blame not a miserable work environment
