Job offer hardware team:: Juniper or Intel(san jose)

Hi,
I recently got an job offer from intel and juniper in hardware team. In terms of compensation both companies offer almost the same. My intel team is data center- NVME team. I am more concerned about work quality, team and work culture.
Does anyone have any review or comments?

Move out of Cali unless you land a job at a top ten type company (or if u want to try a startup or a good midsize employer)

The best part is that OP asked the same question on the Juniper forum, and they all said go to Intel. How f#cked must it be at Juniper?!?

Which grade were you offered ?
There are other groups in data center that do NVMe. One of the teams I know seems to be good and growing.

Skip intel unless you want less pay, fewer benefits, toxic environment; join if you want free fruit (one per day) and want to use whichever toilet you’d like.

Just ask an intel internal friend to check under which org the hiring manager is located. It is the easiest way to confirm.

I am sorry to say this but both have pluses and minus. Do you have other offers? Juniper is not growing. It is one of those companies in Silicon Valley that exist somehow but doesn’t have a clear path forward. You may want to talk with juniper people, current or ex. I have not worked at juniper but it is constantly looking for new people. I interviewed. I didn’t like their constant churn and its growth profile.

Intel is a better option between the two but at intel your offer is within NVME. I am assuming this is with the optane group. Not a strong business within intel and with our new CEO things may change there. Don’t recommend optane.

If you have a job, keep looking. If you need to make a decision, between those two, I say intel. Although, as you can see we have a lot of issues due to incompetent, charlatan leaders and highly political environment they created but intel still matters a lot as a company and I hope our new CEO will clean up the incompetent bozos and their toxic politics. My worry is the optane business at intel. I wouldn’t join that group if you have other options at intel.
