I just got informed of a layoff this morning. I was a contractor for IBM for 7 years, and a regular IBMer for 5.

F%$K IBM. No integrity, bullying, BUEs have no clue what you do, no backups, training of nonUS employees is miserable...what a MESS Ginni created. Our competition is less leveraged, have cash on balance sheet that exceeds IBM's net worth!!!!!, better technologist since they pay high dollar, far better executive teams, focused on R&D to ensure continued revenue growth (while IBM is using AI to determine who should be resourced and there has been no real REV growth for seven years).

RA'ed this morning. Q2C since it started. With IBM for almost 19 years.
I was laid off today after 36 years, Q2C, last day March 31st, three months severance.

For those asking, Severance was employed 1 more month, 3 months salary, 12 months health insurance, 12 mon cobra after that if needed, unspent vacation paid out.

I was laid off as well...been with IBM since 2002. My organization has been laying good people off every year for several years so it was just a matter of time. Honestly, kind of a relief.
I know of at least one RA in my group also today. There may be more but I haven’t heard.
