Any rumors about leaving with severance any time soon?

They no longer have to pay you to leave. They figured out taking away benefits, bonuses and raises will make people quit on their own. I seriously doubt you will ever see another MVO. When they take away severance next you’ll see layoffs pick up again.
The problem with MVO is that the best employees take it. You're seeing the effects now of years of MVOs. The business cannot recover itself with the people who "needed just a few more years" and didn't take the previous offers. There is a big risk that another MVO will pay more of the best to leave. The company's best interest is to surplus random people because they at least have a chance to retain some good people.
Severance is your offer... take it or leave it.
MVO is obsolete, wake up. They will decide if they want you to stay or go. You will not be asked if you want to leave. They do not care what you want.
"Either retire this year with benefits or stay and hope you can hold onto your job until you hit 65"
- It's not that simple for everyone. First, not ALL management/ non bargained are affected by the rescinding of the subsidized pre Medicare healthcare subsidy. In fact, it's a minority of 25%. The majority are not affected by this, in that they were not eligible to begin with.
- I'm in my early 50's with 26 years service. I don't think there's any way in heck I am able to make it another 14 years here. But it's not an "either/or" scenario. You make it sound as if it's not possible to be employed elsewhere somewhere in between now and 65. Though I am in the affected group...I have other options for healthcare, so that alone isn't forcing my hand. I am staying because I am making good money and need to continue to do so for a few years (hopefully). After that it won't be as important. I do keep resume updated and am active on LinkedIn. From what I have seen it's unlikely that I would start anywhere at what I am making now. So I will stay until asked to leave.
There will be no offer. Either retire this year with benefits or stay and hope you can hold onto your job until you hit 65. Stankey said it himself on his pathetic HR call. Giving you notice of benefit changes a year in advance IS their offer.
There will never be another MVO, they will keep adjusting things to get people to leave on their own with no severance, you thought taking away retire pension benefit, taking away pension contributions or losing 5 days vacation was bad, now there are .5% Salary increase. I suspect next will be no more 401k match or contribution, the younger (cheaper) workers dont want the benefits or perks, they will only be here 3-5 years, they want the older folks making bigger $$$ and getting all the perks to walk away!
I expect the next offer to come in Q1 of 2022, if not enough people leave due to the benefit cuts. Or, they take something else away that creates another wave of departures.

With 2 weeks between notice and last day on payroll the company is offering the standard severance of up to 6 months pay. FBO just gave notice on Feb 22 with those terms

If normal time between surplus notification and separation is 2 weeks, what kind of severance do you think the company would offer at this point?
Sr leadership is giving 0% raises and taking away vacation days. Factor in pension cuts and there is no need for severance. At this point it’s “if you don’t like it, leave.” — Stank
My group got last offer in 2019
They already gave the offer, if you what insurance subsidy, you better leave.
